Before the trip:
When a trip has been booked, please note that you must arrive at least half an hour before the trip to be registered on the mandatory passenger list. It is also important to note that you must call the night before (between 3-7 pm). This is to confirm your participation, as well as allowing us to inform you as to whether the weather will allow the trip to go ahead. If you do not call, you risk that the seats will be given to the next in line.

On the ship:
M/S Michael Frank is a spacious boat, with a large common room.
It is naturally best to bring your own fishing equipment.

It is possible to rent fishing rods as well as borrowing lures, jigs and tapered leaders. In case the lure, jig or tapered leader is lost, you will have to pay for it.
We have facilities to gut the fish on board.

Fishing license:
For anglers between 18 and 65, it is mandatory to have a valid Danish fishing licence. This can be acquired through www.fisketegn.dk.

Please note:
Trips of 4, 6 and 8 hours must have a minimum of 6 passengers
For longer trips, we require at least 9 passengers

Michael Frank was purposefully built for trawl fishing by the company, A. K. Work & Søn, in Esbjerg in 1956. Earlier, she was named Ramsy and before that Margit.
During the 80’s, she was decommissioned, repurposed for angling and registered in Hirtshals, being one of the first of her kind.

The ship is of 45 gt, 19.78 metres long, 5.25 metres wides and has a draft of 2.32 metres. She is equipped with a 6-cylender, 200 hp, Volo motor. The wheelhouse is equipped with modern tools for locating fish, radar and a phone. Below deck, we have a large common room. In all, a spacious boat.
